Big things are happening at Light and Wonder. Barely a week after the firm acquired the loyalty and marketing technology software outfit House Advantage, L&W has now appointed Matt Wilson as the substantive president and chief executive. Wilson had been filling in since Cottle’s departure earlier this year.
Excited to work with the best in the business
Before taking the caretaker position, Wilson served as the executive vice president and group chief executive of the group’s gaming business. He commented on his recent appointment, saying;
“I am honored that the board has put their trust in me to lead Light & Wonder as we work to capture the incredible opportunities ahead,” Wilson said. “I am excited to work with the best team in the business as we chart our cross-platform future.
“With a portfolio of unparalleled evergreen franchises, industry-leading positions, and unmatched platforms, combined with a strengthened balance sheet, we are well-positioned to drive substantial growth and shareholder value.”
Wilson is taking over from Cottle, who had spent 4 years in both roles.
